Office Holders
United Wheatgrowers (NZ) Ltd is a wheat grower-driven organization whose activities can be
divided into two clear roles:
The first is a political role as the 'Wheat growers subsection' of The Grains Section of
Federated Farmers of New Zealand. Although not a formal arrangement, co-operatively the two
organizations have confronted and successfully challenged many issues relating to the business
of wheat growing over the last 30 years.
The second is a management role of the business activities of United Wheatgrowers (NZ) Ltd,
including administering a disaster relief insurance scheme, investment in plant breeding, and
information transfer.
