Grains Council raises palm kernel quality issues

The Grains Council recently wrote to Dexcel Ltd. to suggest that work be carried out to assess the risk of palm kernel contamination from aflatoxins or arsenic.

The Grains Council considers that the dairy industry should satisfy itself that measures are in place to ensure any potential risks from palm kernel meal are well understood and managed appropriately.  The letter was copied to the New Zealand Food Safety Authority.
