2005 ELECTION RESULTS FOR UWG DIRECTORS & ELECTORAL COMMITTEE

Nominations were recently called for vacancies on the UWG Board of Directors and Electoral Committee. The 3 incumbent Directors, namely John Wright, Syd Worsfold and James Sim were duly re-elected with no additional nominations being received.

New Electoral Committee members are Hugh Ritchie (Wairarapa/Hawkes Bay), Philip Van der Klundert (North Canterbury), Tim Porter, Willie Leferink & David Clark (Mid Canterbury) and Jeremy Talbot (South Canterbury). Please note there are still 3 vacancies available on the Electoral Committee in the Rangitikei and North Canterbury regions if any growers are interested in being appointed. All enquiries should be directed to either your local Director or an Electoral Committee member.

As a result of these appointments, an updated list of contacts for both Directors and Electoral Committee members can now be viewed under "About Us" on this website, together with contact details for Andy Hume of Federated Farmers.

A precis of the minutes from the November Electoral Committee meeting held recently will shortly be available on this page and will include details regarding the QA Scheme, Grain Survey and the Insurance Scheme.
