ELECTORAL COMMITTEE MEETING & DIRECTORS ELECTIONSWednesday, 18 Oct, 2006
This year the second Electoral Committee meeting of the year will be held on Friday 8th December 2006 at the Copthorne Hotel Commodore, Memorial Avenue, Christchurch, commencing at 10:30am. In the past the meeting has usually been scheduled in November, but can be held, in accordance with the Constitution, anytime prior to the 31st December of each year. The Chairman felt that perhaps a better attendance may be achieved by holding the meeting in early December, as November often proves to be very busy for most growers.
Prior to this meeting nominations will be called for 3 vacancies on the Board of Directors of United Wheatgrowers NZ Ltd, these vacancies being created by the rotational retirement of Ian Morten, Brian Dillon and Michael Morrow. Encumbent Directors are eligible for re-election if they so desire. Pursuant to the Constitution of United Wheatgrowers NZ Ltd, all nominations must be received no later than 4:00pm on the seventh day preceding the date of the Electoral Committee meeting, i.e. Friday 1st December 2006.
Nomination notices will be advertised in both the Straight Furrow and The Christchurch Press closer to the time. << Back
